Yo! I’m Snoopy, a 6-7 year old, home grown hound dog; don’t mix me up with that weird little white dog in the comics who thinks his house is a fighter plane. That fella has some serious twisted mojo goin’ on! Not me–I’m a realist! Sleeping in a narrow cinder block cell, watching people stop by my kennel, then leave, sniffing the other dogs’ poop and pee outside while I look for squirrels, it gets kind of old. I mean, all the volunteers here love me, but it’s not like having my own home. So dream sometimes—not about shooting down planes–but about havin’ my own people–camping, hikes, walks around town—maybe kids; not the wobbly, screeching kind that tug on my ears, and grab my tail—no way! No offense–but those little varmints freak me out! I’m ok with older kids to snuggle and play with, or a couple, or a person; that’d make me so doggone happy! Someone tellin’ me every day, “Snoopy, you’re such a good boy!” because I am. Woooohoooo! That’d be pawsome! Barking right up my tree! Hope I meet you in my dreams soon ‘cuz I’d like to be in yours!
